Juliana Stein is the drag queen alter-ego of Jonathan Brandt, a student from Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA. She has been making music since 2006. Her debut album, Risque Behavior, was released in 2007. This debut was mainly spoken word. Her second album, Cellophane Telephone,experimented with textures, layers, samples, and juicy synthesizers, parodying popular music from the past couple of years and creating her own experimental works. With ADSR, Juliana "grows up," moving away from the parodies and humor and traveling instead through a journey of covers, remixes, and instrumental works. Her own genre continues to evolve, moving from pure electronic to a mix of ambient, pop, and IDM using a variety of synthesizers and samples.

-About the Tracks-
-The Potential Hard-On Song is the only parody on this album, making fun of the shortly-lived popular song, The Potential Breakup Song by Aly & AJ.
-Cvalda (The Stein Remix) was born through a desire to make Bjork's Cvalda a more beat-driven song.
-Level Seven is an experimental 8-bit piece.
-Love Song (Julianarama Remix) was written using a very different process than what Juliana is used to.
-Decay is an ambient/experimental piece using samples, and is meant to be rather creepy.
-Hometown Glory was written per request from Twitter.
-Hide and Seek (Julianimatronic Remix) was previously released as a single through Mr. McQueen Records.
-Another Try was also a request: to cover the song, but completely change the genre from country to electronic.
-Lemmings in Love is another experimental 8-bit piece.
-Surrender to the Sandman was written to facilitate falling asleep.
-Ode to Aubrey is a remake of a song Juliana wrote the summer of 2007, greatly improving upon the composition and instrumentation.
-The Moment I Said It is a cover of Imogen Heap's hit song, using a vocoder for the vocals.
-Paint by Number is an instrumental piece that was intended for an EP, but outgrew its original state.
